5 foods to avoid for breakfast

Many of the foods typically eaten in the morning are not good for our body. Here are 5 breakfast foods best to avoid. You may be surprised to see the food on the list.

Unfortunately, some foods that many people eat for breakfast are unhealthy. Especially if you are on a diet. Even though you may make unhealthy choices, don't forget that breakfast is the most important meal of the day.

We often talk about how important breakfast is to the body . This article introduces foods to avoid as the first meal of the day.

Breakfast is the first food that enters our body during the day. Why eating breakfast is  vitamins, minerals and phytonutrients intake is for. That's why you need to be careful about what foods to eat for breakfast. If not  we can consume products that cause the opposite of what we want, such as obesity, malnutrition, and even more hunger

People often fill their stomachs with foods that are deficient in nutrients or are heavy and difficult to digest. These foods make us tired and make us feel bad.

When we go to bed, the body fasts, heals and detoxifies. However, this effect stops at the first meal of the day.

Let's see which foods should completely disappear from your breakfast list  .

1. artificial or highly processed fruit juice

Since most people have eaten since childhood, fruit juice is often consumed as part of breakfast. Confidence in these beverages began with the phrase “vitamin added” read on the label.

But in reality,  sugar and artificial colors and flavors were also added.  This combination has no health benefits. Pasteurized juices are also  poorly accepted by the body because they can raise blood sugar levels .

If you really want to eat fruit juice,  it's best to make your own juice that's fresh enough to eat once. But don't forget that freshly squeezed juice also contains a lot of sugar in the form of fructose.

If you want a more fruitful drink  , choose a smoothie.

2. Commercially scented yogurt

Yogurt is another food found in many people's breakfasts. I think it's healthy and nutritious because it's a milk product, but the reality isn't.

Commercially available scented yogurt is one of the best foods to avoid for breakfast. Let's look at the following reasons.

  • It secretes mucus, causing  phlegm to come out.
  • Flavored yogurt tends to be full of sugar and artificial ingredients

Instead , choose natural yogurt. You can make it at home or buy it in the store, but keep in mind that you always read the label . No sugar or chemicals should be found on the ingredient list.

If you want to add flavor, try adding fruit to yogurt for 1 serving.

3. Processed meat

Meats such as bacon, ham, and sausage are unhealthy regardless of whether they are diet foods or not. Most of them contain high amounts of  sodium and saturated fat .

Plus, the  digestive system is difficult to handle, making you  feel tired and bloated. If you have a busy day ahead, it won't feel very good.

Instead of processed  meat, it's recommended to eat lean meat with chicken, eggs, or moderate vegetables.

4. Serial

Cereal is also a typical food, like juice. The advertisement told us that eating these cereals for breakfast can lead to an energetic life all day long.

The problem is that the cereal makes you feel plump and sleepy. That's why it's best to avoid this food for breakfast.

These products are rich in  sugar, artificial colors and flavors. Like juice, this combination is also not suitable for breakfast at all. If you eat commercially available cereal with animal milk, it's the worst start to the day.

Better products for breakfast are natural or organic cereals . You can make oatmeal, homemade cereal bars, or whole grain bread. If you want to add  milk, it is best to use vegetable milk such as soy milk , oat milk, almond milk or coconut milk .

5. Pancake and Maple Syrup

Tasty pancakes, especially with maple syrup or a little butter, are a favorite of many. However, just because it tastes good and fills the stomach doesn't mean it's good for breakfast.

Because pancake batter contains refined flour and a large amount of sugar, the body becomes lethargic after a few hours of eating this food.

  • If you don't like breaking pancakes completely,  try replacing the white flour with oat flour.
  • For sweeteners, try adding fruit to the  dough.

Professor Hye-yang Lee of the Department of Health Food Science at Chunggang University of Culture and Industry said that about 40.8% of adults in Korea are in a state of nutritional imbalance due to lack or excess of calories. It is also said that breakfast is essential to supplying glucose, which is an energy source for brain activity, and can affect academic ability.

You're trying to maintain a balanced diet, not that you shouldn't eat anything like this again. There is no big problem if you eat it once a week.

For the remaining 6 days, try to maintain a healthy diet free of these foods.

A healthy lifestyle can be tough, but  if you stick to it, you'll be proud.
